Saw this on MacNN this AM, and got it. A lot of the info is right-on. Some machines have details a little off (ie-the 62xx Performas use a 4.5v PRAM battery NOT a 3.6v like it says), but overall it is a good little utility to figure out the base config of any Mac. It tells you the RAM slots and expansion slots and supported OS range. Well, that's all. I just think there are a ton of folks out there that can benefit from keeping this thing around. Right now, it's free since it's a preview. Not sure if when he plans to give it the "Final Release" status........

Do you mean MacTracker on Ian's page...I clicked on the MacTracker link and got a "page not found..." message. However, when I clicked on the "1Mb" link the download came through. Thanks for the post as it looks like a good resource.

Duh...yeah, that's what I meant. http://macgurus.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I could kick myself in the butt for everytime I send an email or post a reply without remembering to paste in the link. Thanks!

This is neat, but I was wondering if the printer panel was greyed out for you as well? I think I must have run into some bugs in the program. I wanted to email the author in the help menu and the link was incorrect. There was no user name in front of the @. Oh well...
