The fan in my G4 is loud - at least in comparison to what I have become accustomed to and I would like to replace it with something - as quiet as I can get. Any suggestions?

I have 1GB RAM and have added a SCSI card and also have the Apple issued Radeon card. I don't plan on adding any other internal drives - everything else is external SCSI or will be Firewire - and my double monitor days are over - so I shouldn't be generating any significant internal heat - except when I run the DVD drive. I am beginning to graph the CPU heat, but I don't see anything significant yet.

I looked at your SuperDuper PCI Slot Fan Unit but I am not sure if it is quieter than what I have (I don't know the Db rating of the internal fan - just that I can hear it all over the room - and even downstairs if it is quiet)

Any help/suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks

The foam gasket looks worth a try - I''ll let you know how it sounds.
