I have a PowerCenter Pro running OS 8.6 with a IXMicro Ultimate Rez video card installed. I recently had to zap the PRAM and immediately lost video resolution and color balance. In addition, on opening the IXMicro Video Control software I see only the marquee with everything else blank. As a result I have no control over the card. I have tried removing the video card, rebooting, powering down and then reinstalling the card as suggested on xlr8yourmac.com. Didn't help, nor did reinstalling the v 2.0 IXMicro software. Anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

Is there a CUDA reset button on the motherboard ? If so holding it down fo
about 30 seconds may help. I suspect it may be time for a new battery..M

I did hold down the CUDA for 30 sec. when the board was out, and the battery was replaced fairly recently, so my problem is something else.

Does Apple System Profiler properly identify you card? The card's name should appear as "IMS,tt3d"

Yes, the System Profiler identifies the IXMicro card correctly.

What control over the monitor do you have in the Monitors control panel? I would avoid using the IXMicro control panel for anything in Mac OS 8.5 or later.
