View Full Version : Anyone know anything about separate sync monitors?

I have a DecaView GA387 monitor. I realize most people have probably never heard of the brand, but it's a good monitor (DiamondTron tube, 0.25 AG pitch, capable of 1920x1440 @ 60 Hz off my Radeon). Anyway, it also has dual analog inputs, the standard HD15 connector and also separate sync input (5 BNC ports: 1 for red, 1 for blue, 1 for green, and 1 each for sync along either axis).

My question is this, is there a difference in image quality between using HD15 or using the BNC separate sync inputs. Is the BNC route better/cleaner since it's seen primarily on workstation monitors? Also does anyone know if I can drive the monitor using my 8500's built-in video and a HD15->5BNC video cable?
