View Full Version : best DVI compatible graphics card?

Hi,
I'm buying a G4 but my monitor is a standard LCD with the DVI port. I'd rather buy a graphics card with a DVI output than sink $150 into a ADC-DVI adapter; so, is there a recommendation for which card to go after? It looks like Radeon 8500 is a good choice, and ideally I'd like to buy one on ebay as long as there's a sure way to make it work on the Mac (because they all seem to be the PC version on ebay).
So, there's really two questions here.

thanks,

brad

the GeForce 4 Titanium that Apple offers as a build to order option has both ADC and DVI connectors and is supposed to be the best card out right now. Bit pricey though, but it is the one I would want. You could always tell any significant other you may have that it is the only card apple offers that supports your monitor (which is true..no need to mention those pesky third party card makers)

Is the Radeon 8500 Mac Edition even in the retail channel yet?
