Hello all...

I am confused as to which to use. Is there an advantage for me to buy a Rage Orion for a G3 running OS 10? Are drivers built into the system for this card or is the built in video as good as it gets since their is no support?

I am unsure if it will be a good thing since ATI says they dont support it with osx.

thanks for the help!

I read a FAQ at ATi. They appear to assert support for the Rage 128 line up. They also indicate that the RageII and PRO chips are not supported.

I heard one guy say that Rage 128 is supported in a beige G3 ONLY if it is an Apple OEM Rage 128....... He had just bought a Radeon 7000 and it was not supported in a Beige/OS X Mac either

The older pre-7000 retail Radeon PCI is supported. And any Rage 128 (OEM) which can be found.

I guess the next question is how can I tell if its supported? It seems to be listed under ASP (system profiler) in OSX fine. as Rage128...

thanks again for all the help guys...
