I looked in Newer's GURU app and it said that a 7500/7600 could export video, but the screen would go blank during export. Because I'm a desktop snob, I only have 75/7600s, so I took the av board off one, and there is an s-video out that is covered up by the plug. Only having RCA video inputs to check with, i got an 8500 av board that had the RCA video out. It's just an experiment, but it didn't work. On an 85/8600, are the video outs always displaying logic board video or only at certain times? I realize this requires speculation, but is Newer just wrong, or am I missing more than I usually do?

one of the distinctions between the 8500/8600 and the 7500/7600 was supposed to be that only the 8600/8600 supported video-out.
