Removing the Cover

  1. Once your three screws are pulled, tug the cover towards the rear of the enclosure about a half-inch. You may wish to brace your thumbs against the backplane and then pull rearwards with your fingers. Sometimes the cover can be a little tight. You need to pull the front edge of the cover out from under the lip of the front bezel assembly.

  2. Set the cover aside gently. If you drop it, you might scratch it. Don't sit on it, or use it as a step-stool.

  3. Inside, you will find a screw set (very complete), and a moisture bag. Carefully discard the silicon moisture absorbent baggie so your children and doggies don't ingest it. It can be very dangerous. Please do not give in to any crazy ideas you may be hatching at the moment you hold it in your hands. Organize your screws. You will have plenty left over, but it is a good idea to sort them into types, so you aren't hunting for a matching screw in a few minutes. If you don't trust yourself, make little notes, and tape them to the screws. This is particularly good to do if this is the first time you are building something this ambitious, and never expect to do it again.
