Align the screw holes in the drive brackets with the sides of the enclosure chassis.
You want your drive pushed as far towards the rear of the enclosure as possible.
Tighten finger tight only, at first.

Screwing These Babies Down
- Aligning the screw holes in the 3.5-inch to 5.25-inch drive brackets with the holes in the steel sides of the internal enclosure chassis, start your screws. In the beginning, you can use just two screws per side.
- Install the screws on the other side. Again, install two screws per side.
- Push the drive as far towards the rear of the enclosure as it will go. This ensures you have room for the front fans to build a little velocity as the air is pushed over the drive surfaces, and gives the drives some room to breathe. It also gives you room to organize your internal wiring, and tack it down with hot glue, or tie it off with twist ties.
