  This is one of the sweetest enclosures we have used! Firewire 800 speeds and, finally, SATA Drive capability. Solid aluminum construction, stainless steel drive tray. Uses an Oxford922 Chipset in FW800 cases, Oxford911 chipset in FW400 cases. Extra trays available for ATA or SATA drives making this a very versatile case.

  In use we have found nothing to complain about. The build is very rugged and gives a hefty solid feel. The trays don't completely surround and protect the drive when out of the enclosure, so care will have to be taken in handling. But the trays are tough and well made and should hold up very well.

Tray easily slides out and drives are set in place with easy cable and screw attachment. Ships with One SATA Drive Tray, Firewire800 cable, USB2.0 cable and power supply. This enclosure has no fans so is totally silent other than minor drive access noises. It stayed warm throughout testing during high use, but never got hot as large surface area and fins on the side allowed good transfer into the air. In hard use as my startup drive it never missed a beat and worked perfectly with no distinguishable performance difference from when the same hard drive was installed internally in the G5.
